New Projects/Sketches and Doodles
Sketches and Doodles
I have sketched patterns, doodles and more since before I could write. I did a lot of these in my earlier years when I was trapped in school. As I got older I leaned more and more into my painting and now realized I left my sketching behind.
Recently the desire to sketch has become overwhelming, prompting me to buy a sketch pad and started doodling once again. Here are a few of them.
New Projects/Spirits
Spirits
As a conduit, I suppose I should have expected to be painting Spirits, but I was not. Nonetheless I am thrilled and excited by my new spiritual awareness and related paintings.
New Projects/Vision Thing
Vision Thing
This progression was more of a project as I took a picture after every session. The painting is not done yet, but the stages are more clearly shown in this enhanced progression.
New Projects/Black and White Works
Black and White Paintings
This is a new series of black, white, and grays with glitter of the same shades on canvas. These also utilize a minimal amount of substrate additives.
These are nice because they are modern looking and can accent almost any space! Like all my paintings, these all feature painted 1.5" side panels.
New Projects/Silver Desert Progression
Silver Desert Progression
I often take pictures of my paintings as I am painting them. These three pictures show the dramatic transformation taking place on the canvas as I chip away to discover the final work of art. The final slide shows the painting shimmering in the sun!
New Projects/Palm Trees
Palm Trees
It is interesting that in my decade of painting and painting foliage, I never painted palm trees or was influenced by them in the least until I relocated to Florida, my Homeland.
Prior to that, I painted, conifers, deciduous trees, flowers, tropical vines, but never palm trees. Once I came here though, they started popping up on my canvasses. I find them graceful and delightful plants and am happy for the opportunity to paint them!
